Introduction
On 26 July 2024, Ellesu Catering had the honour of catering Gbemi and Jamie’s traditional wedding at Surrey National Golf Club. The summer celebration welcomed 350 guests and brought together rich cultural traditions, elegant styling, and authentic Nigerian cuisine.
As the main caterer, Ellesu was responsible for menu creation, food preparation, and professional service delivery from start to finish.
Planning a Large Scale Wedding
Successful wedding catering begins long before the event day. Ellesu worked closely with the bride, her family, and key stakeholders through multiple consultations to understand expectations, guest demographics, and cultural requirements.
A tasting session allowed the family to experience the menu and make refinements, while a site visit ensured the logistics, kitchen setup, and service flow were carefully planned.

Ingredients were sourced from local food stores and wholesale food markets to ensure freshness and consistency.
Professional Service Delivery
The wedding reception ran from 5pm until midnight. A team of 16 experienced servers and kitchen staff delivered seamless service throughout the evening. Ellesu’s CEO personally supervised the event, ensuring high service standards were maintained at every stage.
