Ofe onugbu is the most traditional soup in Anambra State, Nigeria. The distinguishing ingredient between it and ofe ora (another traditional soup) is the leaves used (bitter leaves vs. African rosewood leaves). Ingredients common to both include cocoyam (ede), ogiri Igbo and either palm oil or palm fruit concentrate.
