Fried Rice


Fried rice is typically reserved for weekends and parties among Nigerians and can be served either on its own (with meat, moi-moi, fried plantains, and other side-dishes for rice) or with jollof rice.

Fried rice is a popular dish made by most tribes in Nigeria. This is one of the party food seen in a Nigeria elaborate party.

Cooked with spice and herbs, made similarly to that of the Asian cuisine. This is a great substitute when you are after the Pan-Asian flavours. The rice is cooked in chicken stock before frying and cooked with Nigerian curry powder, the latter of which gives it its characteristic ‘lime green’ colour. Gizzards and diced hot dog slices can be used as a substitute for chicken liver.
